1. Surface mining and design:
Available and optimum surface mining methods or quarrying methods, production planning and scheduling, slope design, wall control, materials handling and equipment selection.
2. Underground Mining and Design:
Selection, design and development of underground mining methods based upon physical, geological, economical and environmental constraints, plus, underground materials handling (ore, waste, slurry, and water), equipment selection, production requirements, performance and cost.
3. Ore beneficiating and upgrading technologies:
Design of unit operations in a mineral processing plant, including crushing, grinding, classification and separation methods based on physical, chemical and pyrometallurgical properties of the ore gangue and useful part contents; in addition to equipment selection and sizing, flow-sheet design, circuit analysis and processing options.
